She was a child as children go.
She laughed, she played, but even so...
She did not know that her life would be
a brief but joyous four plus three.
She had dreams to dream and memories to make,
her life just starting to take shape.
But wait, a pause, for she has gone
to live with angels, to sing their song.
Now she smiles only when we close our eyes.
She runs and plays and waves goodbye.
She now lives where dreams reside...
in heaven's dawn, on the other side.
